5:58p - Hillo? Housekeeping!
My work fucking rocks.
Today when I went in, I was really tired because I was up until four last night, and I was kind of wobbling around the office and all...
So at lunch time, my supervisor left, and I ate my cup of noodles, and drank my grape-flavoured soda, and printed obscene bar codes on the label-maker.. and she comes back and sees me sitting in the chair and says, "Why aren't you resting?"
I told her I didn't know why, and she says, "You need to go to sleep."
And I said, "What? Do you want me to just go to sleep on the floor?"
And she said, "One of our architects used to do that."
So I crawled under a desk and went to sleep for about 45 minutes. I told her to wake me up at one, but she said I needed a nap.
When I awoke, my next order of business was to run down to the Beacon and get snacks for the other secretaries. My job fucking rocks. I even got paid for my nap. $10 for sleeping, hell yes.
As soon as I was done, I ripped my wig off and shook my hair out and travelled home with the windows down and my music blaring. It felt GOOD! Oh so good!
On the way home I had to stop by Stefan's because I told him I would last night, but then I got preoccupied and it was too late before I knew it.
When I got there, he had a horde of treasure waiting for me. He got me a bunch of car hardware, a Hyundai symbol, some VW symbols, a little decal that said, "Turbo". It was very, very nice. I think I am going to stick some of them on my car, even though Accents don't come with turbos, ever. At least, I don't think they do... if they do they probably don't sell them in America, 'cos we get gypped all the fucking time.
About Last Night.
I took work off yesterday because I had an emotional breakdown, and I spent all day playing on the computer, cleaning my rheum and getting ready to go to groop, where I saw Heather, as she returned for the first time in forever!
When that ended, I went to pick up Mya, and she and I went to Fresh Choice, where Jessica, Tanja and Chris joined us for our Wednesday ritual. We even got Chris to do Origami. *oooh!*
I also ran into Brynna's parents for the five millionth time. I ran into them at graduation, at Raley's, and now at Fresh Choice. Something is telling me I need to be back in Brynna's life, fah realz.
After that, we all went to Long's where I bought gum and stickers to decorate my lighters (I like to do that, it's really therapeutic, I made one with dirty messages all over it!). I also smoked a total of four cloves last night, which is really horrible, I know! No more for a while!
Then we all went to the Brenden, where we screamed obscenities and racial slurs, and smoked, and Chris climbed a pole and then Mr. Under-Age joined us and did origami too.
I gave them all origami birds, it was DOPE!
Then Tanja, Jessica, and Chris had to leave, so we bid them farewell, and I drove Mya over to her friend Justin's house to pick up some shit she needed for skool, which she proceeded to leave in my trunk so that I had to stop by her house on my way to work to drop it off. Hee hee.
After that, me, Mya, and UA drove to this park, and the two of them got stoned. UA was so fucked-up that he forgot his car. Isn't that funny?
I didn't smoke any of the stuff that they had, but I think I was still feeling the effects of being in close proximity to it, because after I dropped Mya off, me and UA went to put gas in my car, and I ended up scraping it along a pole at the gas station and scratching some of the paint off. I had such knots in my stomach; my car is my baby, and I just desecrated him. Poor, poor Lindy.
UA helped me to get it unstuck-- first we tried to lift it up and move it, but that didn't work-- (not only was it scraping the pole, it was hung up on the pole. Fuck!), and then I pumped my gas and my knees went all week and I felt like I was going to throw up. My poor car, I need to treat him better. I almost felt like crying, but the most important thing I had to do was find a bathroom and a payphone.
We searched for a payphone, and the first couple that we found were dead, or wouldn't take my coins without being a bitch. So we went over to 7-11 across from the SunValley Mall, and I went in to ask the guy who was working (who was extremely foreign and had a heavy accent) there if I could use their bathroom.
He saw me walking towards him, jumped, threw down his mop, put his hand out in front of him like a shield, and screamed (yes, he screamed) something along the lines of, "Hello, what do you want!?"
I said, "Can I use your bathroom?" (I was kind of freaked out by the way he reacted to me coming up to him, plus his eyes were all bloodshot and he was probably on lots of scary drugs).
He screeched, "Bathroom?!" like he'd never heard the word before.
"Every place else is closed," I told him. "So can I use it?"
"Oh yeah," he said, "It's ok, baby."
He pointed me in the direction of the bathroom, and when I got in there, I was horrified. There were dirty, mildewed mops all over the sticky floor, it reeked of urine, and there were rusty-looking brown stains all over the toilet. I had to use toilet paper gloves to put the seat down, and the door wouldn't latch. I was afraid he might come in and rape me, so I went to leave.
He beamed at me and asked, "It was ok, yes?"
"No," I said. "The door doesn't close. I'll find another one."
He took a step towards me, and I stepped back.
"Doesn't close?!" he yelled. He kept coming towards me until I was in the bathroom again, and then yanked the door shut. "It's closed! See?!" he yelled from the other side of the door.
I squatted, went pee, and got out of there as fast as I could.
Then, UA and I drove over to Subway, where we found a functional payphone, and then I called my mother. She argued with me about coming home right away, and I told her that I could do what I wanted because I was 18.
Today, she said, "If I hear her say 'I'm 18' one more time, I'll string myself up!"
Then UA and I drove around aimlessly and hung out in the mall parking lot for a while, and then I drove him home and dropped him off.
("You guys like parking lots a whole lot, don't you?" --Stefan)
Parking lots rock my socks, though last night it was a bit too cold for my taste.
Then I came home and promptly fell asleep. Another Wednesday night was finally complete.
